I will provide a graduation cap, gown and/or flowers required for your photo session. Please make sure you are happy with your hair and appearance before starting your photo session.
Please arrive 10 minutes BEFORE your appointment (this is important) as it allows time to dress in your cap & gown and check your appearance to make necessary adjustments prior to being photographed. Appointments run on a tight schedule. Your grad photo session will result in the generation of 10 or more proofs that will include a set of traditional images with cap and gown. There is separate time slots available to have special moments with fellow Grads or significant others which will be included in your proofs. Please remember this is not a time for family portraits, but Grads only. If you are interested in a family portrait session please contact me.
Men – should wear a clean dress shirt and tie. (We also provide a shirt and tie if needed, please arrive early to get changed)
Ladies – keep things simple with an open neckline by wearing a v-neck shirt or tank top underneath the gown.Consider wearing a nice necklace or chain. Hands are often included in grad photos. Ensure your nails are filed and polish is not chipped. Light coloured, neutral nail polish keeps the focus on you. Please remove any marker on your hands and bracelets you don't want in the pictures.
Ladies – use your regular daytime makeup, touch up blemishes and be sure your makeup is even all over your face and neck. A natural fresh face photographs best. Avoid wearing too much foundation, eyeliner or mascara as it will be very obvious in your photos.
Men – shave carefully to avoid nicks and cuts. Stubble is very noticeable on camera and can NOT be retouched. Make sure you shave the morning of, or a couple hours prior to your appointment. Cleanse your face to remove oiliness and prevent shine.
If you plan on getting a haircut for your portraits, I suggest you get it cut at least 1 week before your photo session. If your photo session is after lunch, bring along a tooth brush and floss to freshen your smile.
We welcome you to bring along anything that highlights your interests and achievements such as musical instruments, sporting equipment or a favourite objects.
If you are not able to purchase online, contact the studio and I can process your order with you over the phone.
